| Elisabeth James' story |
Elisabeth contacted us in February for her Wedding in July. She already had her
Wedding dress made, which was a very simple and elegant style in champagne silk.
I suggested that she go for something more ornate to contrast with the simple style
of the dress.
Elisabeth had sent me a swatch of her Bridesmaids dress fabric which were an aubergine
silk with a bodice top with a low neckline.
After some discussion we decided to make Elisabeth's necklace using amethyst and fluorite
to tie in with the Bridesmaids fabric and also the Bridal bouquet.
The necklace featured these beautiful stones in a double string with an ornate centrepiece
created with a drop amethyst for added drama.
Worn with art deco style amethyst earrings the result was stunning.
The Bridesmaids Jewellery was along the same theme, although on a single string, and
the flowergirls little necklets a simpler version again.
The colour scheme chosen tied the whole look together for Elisabeth, and both she
and her attendants were delighted with their special Jewellery, and had their pieces
to keep forever as a momento of the wonderful day.
